Former India captain Shabbir Ali awarded Lifetime Achievement

Former India captain Shabbir Ali was awarded Lifetime Achievement for his contribution to Mohammedan Sporting in their Dawat-e-Iftar at the Kshudiram Anushilan Kendra here today.

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee handed over a cheque for Rs one lakh to the Dronacharya awardee and Santosh Trophy winning Bengal coach.

In previous years, Mohammedan Sporting had conferred Mohammad Habib, John Victor and Moidul Islam with the Lifetime Achievemnt Awards.

The chief minister also extended her best wishes on the eve of the Eid festival.
