Former Jharkhand minister Devdayal Kushwaha passed away at a hospital here Wednesday, family sources said.
Kushwaha was 82 and is survived by wife and son, the sources said.
He was unwell for the last one month.
Kushwaha won on BJP ticket from Hazaribagh Assembly constituency in 1990, 1995 and 2000 and became a cabinet minister in the erstwhile Babulal Marandi and Arjun Munda governments.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das condoled the death of Kushwaha.
Das asked the Hazaribagh deputy commissioner to accord state funeral to the departed leader, an official release said.
