Former MLA contesting on Congress ticket rushed to hospital

Wardhannapeta assembly constituency's former MLA Kondeti Sreedhar who is contesting once again on a Congress ticket, was rushed to the Max Care Hospital for treatment, where his condition has been reported to be stable, sources said here today.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president P Lakshmaiah rushed to the hospital and enquired about his health.

Earlier, sources said that Sreedhar had allegedly made a suicide attempt by taking sleeping pills at Nagaram village today afternoon.

However, speaking to reporters at the hospital, Lakshmaiah said that Sreedhar had suffered a sun-stroke at Nagaram village while campaigning since 15 days without rest.

Due to this he felt uneasiness and fell down in Nagaram village, he said.
 

He said that Sreedhar's condition is stable.
