Among other things, "Gyaniji is remembered for carving out a new district of Faridkot and establishing Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital here," District Congress Committee President Surinder Kumar said.
The leader was born at Sandhwan village, 5 kms from here, on this day in 1916.
