Former rock rivals Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn have put their differences behind them and performed together at a charity concert.

Ex-Oasis star Gallagher had a long-running war-of-words with Blur in the 1990s but he buried the hatchet with the group's singer Albarn after a chance meeting in 2011 - and now they have teamed up musically, reported Daily Star.

The pair was on the bill for one of the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs, which Gallagher stepped up to curate this year as a favour to organiser Roger Daltrey.

They thrilled fans by stepping onto the stage together at London's Royal Albert Hall. They performed a rendition of Blur's hit track 'Tender', along with the band's guitarist Graham Coxon and rock veteran Paul Weller.

Albarn had earlier performed with Coxon, while Gallagher went on to stage and sang songs by Oasis and his new band, High Flying Birds.
