A former Sub Divisional
Magistrate has been booked for allegedly murdering a mechanic in Karhal police station here, police said today.
An FIR under IPC 302 was registered yesterday against former Karhal SDM Satya Narain Yadav, currently posted as revenue officer in the district.
The incident took place on July 28 when a mechanic Savej (25) was electrocuted in his house during repair of generator.
The FIR was registered after a number of irate people gathered at the victim's house yesterday and placed his dead body at Karhal crossing and blocked roads.
