Former Shiv Sena MP from Pune, Gajanan Babar today joined the BJP, ahead of the civic polls scheduled in Maharashtra next month.
Babar joined BJP in the presence of state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Pune Guardian Minister Girish Bapat, party MLA Bala Bhegade said.
Babar has a good network in area of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, which is going to the polls next month.

With Babar's induction, BJP's prospects look better, party spokesperson Kanta Nalawade told PTI.
Babar hails from Kikali, a village in Satara district.
