The mortal remains of former Uttar Pradesh minister and senior BJP leader Ram Lakhan Passi was today consigned to flames near Sardarganj village here.
Passi (62) breathed his last yesterday in New Delhi after which his body was taken for cremation to his ancestral village.
Passi, a minister in Kalyan Singh's cabinet, represented Jagdishpur assembly segment under Amethi parliamentary constituency.
Several political leaders and officials including Umashankar Pandey, Rampati Ram Shastri (BJP), Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh from Samajvadi Party paid floral tributes and expressed condolence to the departed leader.
