The total cost of the project is Rs 1 crore, and Singh will give Rs 25 lakh from MPLAD fund and rest of the amount will be collected from the state government, officials said.
In this proposed museum, several belongings and documents of British Gorkha Army and Indian Gorkha Army will be placed, sources said.
Hemant Pradhan, a resident of Haridashatta here collected different belongings and items of Gorkha Army for the past 40 years and now. His collection will be placed and exhibited in the proposed museum.
"The construction works of the museum will start within two months and would be opened in February next year," District Magistrate Saumitra Mohan, who was present in the ceremony of the museum, said.
