Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh today laid the foundation stone for an interchange on the Yamuna Expressway, which officials said will reduce traffic congestion once completed.
Though it has been projected that construction of the Jewar interchange will be completed in 18 months, the company engaged in the project hopes to get it done in nine months, he said.
"The state government has issued directions for an additional payment of 64.7 per cent compensation as demanded by farmers," the MLA from Jewar said.
