Foundation stone of polyclinic laid in west Delhi

The foundation stone of a polyclinic, which will have facilities like general OPD and an ayurvedic dispensary, was today laid in Jawalapuri area of west Delhi.

The three-storied building of the polyclinic will be constructed in an area of 2250 sqm at a cost of over Rs 8 crore, North Delhi Municipal Corporation Commissioner Praveen Gupta said.

The complex will comprise services like ayurvedic dispensary, general OPD, X-ray, laboratory and ultrasound facilities, among others, he said.

"An additional Rs 6 crore would be spent on procuring equipment and other expenses," NDMC Public Relations Officer Yogendra Singh Mann said.

The building will have lifts as well as ramps and parking at stilt. Provision of staircase and fire-fighting equipment have also been made to meet any emergency situation, he said in a statement.
 

The foundation stone was laid by National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited Chairman Bijendra Singh.
