Foundation stones laid for two Central govt institutes in AP

Foundation stones for two Central government institutes were laid in Andhra Pradesh today by Union Ministers.

The foundation stone for Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) was laid by Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Mahesh Sharma at Golagamudi village, near here.

The estimated cost for the construction of the IITTM building is Rs 60 lakh, an official release said.

Also, Union Minister for Social Justice and Employment Thaawar Chand Gehlot laid the foundation stone for the Composite Regional Centre Andhra Pradesh, in the district.

Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaih Naidu, who was present at both the events, said IITTM will provide employment opportunities to youths.
 

Naidu asked youths to study tourism courses to get better employment opportunities and also venture into tourism-related entrepreneurship projects for personal growth and the state's development.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was present at the IITTM function.
