As soon as the cashier came out of his company and boarded the van at the crowded University road this morning, four men riding on two motorbikes held the driver hostage at the gunpoint and escaped with the bag carrying Rs 14 lakh, police said.
According to police, the incident prima facie looks suspicious as the armed guard present on the site did not try to prevent the loot.
