Four arms dealers arrested

Four members of a gang allegedly

involved in smuggling of illegal arms were arrested by a joint team of Special Task Force and Rajasthan police in Auraiya district in the wee hours today.

On a tip off that the gang would be arriving with a consignment of illegal weapons, the joint team made the arrests from Ajitmal area, STF sources here said.

The accused told police that they used to get the weapons from Khagadiya district of Bihar and supply it in Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, they said.

Three of the arrested belong to Rajasthan and one is from Haryana, the sources said.
 

Three DBBL guns, four pistols .32 bore, one pistol 9mm, one carbine 9 mm besides cartridges and magazines in large numbers were seized from them, they added.
