Four persons accused of committing burglary in factories have been arrested from Dilshad Garden here, police said today.

The accused used to collect scrap from the industrial areas and sold them to the scrap dealers, they said.

They have been identified as Sekh Saddam, Pappu Alam, Kamran and Dilshad. 52 Kg of brass taps, 120 Kg of brass nut/bolt, 10 Kg of aluminium and one iron rod have been seized from their possession, police said.

"During night time, they used to commit burglary and sold the stolen articles to the scrap dealers who have been identified as Saarik and Faisal. Efforts are being made to search the other scrap dealers," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Nupur Prasad said.

Acting on a tip-off, Saddam and Alam were apprehended on January 6 and the remaining two accused were later arrested.
