Four arrested for land grabbing in two separate incidents

The PM Palem police arrested four people in two different land grabbing cases, who have been identified as P Sanjay, P Siva Lingeswara Rao, V Sanyasi Rao and T Vidya Sagar, a senior police official said here today.

However, another accused P Jagannadham is still at large according to DCP (Law and Order, Zone-I) C M Trivikrama Varma told PTI.

He said that the accused P Sanjay encroached 388 square yards of land purchased by Sudhakar, Giri and Uma Maheswara Rao in 2010 under survey number 49/1-4, 6-8 and 27/4-8 respectively.

Allegedly, Sanjay also damaged a borewell and compound wall on the land, he said.
 

In another case, Ch Venkata Subbaraju, a resident of PM Palem purchased 680 square yards of land from G Rama Rao under survey number 56/2, but four people namely P Siva, P Jagannadham, V Sanyasi Rao and T Vidyasagar encroached some portion of the land, damaged its compound wall, he said.

After Subbaraju's complaint, the police found that the accused had encroached the land, he said.

He said that Siva is a rowdy (history) sheeter, while his father Jagannadham who has a criminal record, absconded after the three were arrested.

The police has begun a manhunt for Jagannadham, he said.
