Four persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of BJP Yuva Morcha vice-president Uttam Sharma, who was killed in broad daylight in Munger town on March 27, police said.
Munger Superintendent of Police (SP) Varun Kumar Sinha said the murder was fallout of dispute related to land deals, and the persons arrested in this connection are Sweety Mandal, Deepak Sharma, Golu Mandal and Etwari Mandal.
"These four work for a jailed gangster Amit Mandal. They had been given the task to kill Sharma by one Rohit Singh, who had been given Rs 5 lakh contract for this purpose by another person named Pawan Mandal. Both of them are currently absconding, and our teams are looking for them," Sinha said.

The Munger SP said the murder case was cracked after electronic surveillance by a Special Task Force (STF) team led by Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sanjay Kumar Singh.
