Four booked for molesting women on Holi

Four persons have been booked for allegedly molesting a group of women on Holi in the district and threatening their husbands with dire consequences, police said today.

The incident took place on March 24 when some women were taking bath at their home after playing Holi.

According to police, a woman in her complaint said that four men identified as Surjeet, Ravi, Babbal and Sandeep broke open the door of her house while she was taking bath with other women of family after playing Holi.

The four men then dragged and molested the women, following which they raised an alarm. As soon as their husbands arrived, they were attacked by the accused and threatened with dire consequences.
 

A case has been lodged and police further investigation is underway.
