Four bookies held for IPL betting

Police today claimed to have busted a cricket betting racket with the arrest of four alleged bookies who were betting on an IPL match.

Rs 2.8 lakh, 18 mobile phones, one laptop, one LCD, one writing pad and other articles were seized from them, the police said.

Acting on a tip off about an active cricket betting racket, police raided the premises of a city hotel and arrested four persons identified as R.Tulsidhar (52), Sunil Bhatti (31), Arvind Katyal (38) and Harjeet Singh (39) who were taking bets for the match between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Banglore yesterday, a police official said.
 

Further investigations are on to establish their links and apprehend the other members of the gang, the police said.
