Four boys, including two brothers, drowned in a water body on the outskirts of the Warangal city this evening, police said.
The boys, along with their parents, had gone for an event at Kothapet. Two of them first entered the water body for a bath and drowned. The other two also met the same fate when they entered the water body, they said.
"Rainwater had accumulated in the area and the boys entered into it for a bath, unaware of its depth, and drowned," Warangal Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu said.
"A police team reached the spot and with the help of swimmers retrieved the four bodies," he told PTI.
The deceased were in the age group of 13 to 16 years, police added.
