Four bus robbers held

With the arrest of four alleged

robbers here, police today claimed to have busted a gang of inter-state looters who used to rob people in moving buses.

The accused were arrested near Goverdhan Crossing yesterday.

"The gang members have confessed to have committed robbery in moving buses in Iglas (Aligarh), Runakta (Agra), Jait, Yamuna Expressway and Haryana on different days," SP (City) Manoj Sonkar said.

"Four country-made pistols, live cartridges, Rs 42,500 and some looted items were recovered from their possession," Sonkar said.

The accused have been identified as Neeraj, Bipin, Naveen and Bhim.

They have told the police their three other accomplices-- Rajesh, Lala and Bhola-- were also involved in the loots, the SP said.
