Four children who ran away from home traced to Nanded

Four boys from here, who ran away from home to escape school and exams were finally traced to Nanded, the city police said today.

Police inspector (Crime) N V Dharmadhikari, of the Kasarwadavali police station told PTI that the four were residents of a chawl in Patragalli on the Ghodbunder road. They studied in municipal schools and they were in the age group of 12 to 14.

It was on March 7, that the four ran away from their homes. Their parents were totally shocked when they came to know that all the four were missing from home.

The parents carried out a frantic search for them, but after they failed to locate their kids, they lodged a missing person complaint under Section 363 of the Indian Penal Code with the police.
 

Today when the police and family members got to know about the safety of the children, they heaved a sigh of relief.

A senior police officer from Thane has been sent to Nanded to fetch them, the police said.

Police gave the names of the children as Sripad Himmatsingh Rathod, Karan Ramesh Jadhav, Rameshwar Bikhu Rathod and Sandeep Santosh Rathod.
