Four cops suspended in separate incidents

The Rachakonda police today suspended two sub-inspectors and as many constables in separate incidents on the charges of misbehaving and demanding money.

Based on the report of the Suryapet superintendent of police, the Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat suspended sub-inspectors D Vijay and Mahesh T, both attached to Vanasthalipuram police station here on the issue of "consuming liquor and misbehaving with constables at public place on February 14."

A criminal case was lodged against the duo with Chivemla police station of Suryapet district, an official release said.

Separately, the commissioner also suspended the constables D Shivram and M Ashok, both attached to the Bhongir police station, on the charge of demanding money for a 'compromise' in cases during Lok Adalat.
