Four persons, including two Nigerians, were arrested from Delhi for allegedly cheating a city-based person of Rs 3.99 lakh under the pretext of supplying him a cancer medicine, the police said today.

Nasoki Amos Williams and Ibrahim Iduh (both Nigerians), along with Paras Grover and Karan Kumar Jha were arrested on August 2.

According to police, the four were cheating people on the false promise of supplying the medicine.

Both the Nigerians conspired together and listed one fake company on a e-commerce website and colluded with the two Indians as part of their business plan stating they supply a cancer cure medicine, a release from Hyderabad Police said.

A complainant contacted their firm and ordered 20 bottles of the medicine and deposited Rs 3.99 lakh in the account numbers given by the accused, it said.

After making the payment, the complainant proceeded to Delhi to receive the medicine but in vain and then realised that he was cheated, following which he approached the Cyber Crime Police here.
