In the latest instance of human-animal conflict, four farmers were injured as wild boars attacked them at Srichandanpur village in Odisha's Kendrapara district.
The farmers were cutting crop near the forest area yesterday when wild boars strayed in the field. The boars turned violent while being chased away and attacked the farmers, a forest official said.
The animals might have sneaked in to eat vegetable plants and crops as the village is located close to forest areas and their habitation corridors, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Bimal Prasanna Acharya said.
