Four ft increase in water level in Mettur dam

: Heavy rain in the catchment areas of Mettur dam resulted in a four foot increase in the water level in the past 24 hours, PWD sources said.

The water level increased to 70.96 feet from 66.95 feet yesterday.

The inflow almost doubled from 20,684 cusecs to 40,261 cusecs while outflow was reduced from 1000 to 500 cusecs, they said.
