Pronouncing the verdict yesterday, Additional District and Sessions Judge Harpal Singh held Darshan Singh, Harjinder Singh, both brothers, Kala and Sewak Singh, both cousins, guilty of murdering Kuldeep Singh, a Kabaddi player.
Kuldeep was murdered on the night of December 25, 2010.
According to the prosecution, Kuldeep had gone to Dhurkot Ransih village here on December 25 that year to meet his beloved.
The four, residents of the same village, roundly thrashed him as they were opposed to his relationship with the girl.
Kuldeep succumbed to his injuries a day later. PTI CORR SUN RKC
