Two other accused were handed down three years' rigorous imprisonment (RI) each for the murder of Malakar family members - a man, his wife and two kids - in Heeranagar on April 10, 2010. One person was acquitted.
Additional Sessions Judge Surendra Kumar Srivastava pronounced the judgement at the district court here, Mohan Lal Bagora, a Government counsel, told reporters.
The four convicts sent to life in prison - Tina, Sachin alias Salman, Vijay and Vikas alias Pappihya - were also fined Rs 1,000 each by the Judge, Bagora said.
Sachin, who raped the woman, was awarded additional ten years in jail, he added.
Two accused, Shankar and Kailash, were given three years RI and fined Rs 500 each, he said. The seventh accused, Bharat, was acquitted for lack of evidence.
The convicts had stabbed to death one Rajesh Malakar, his wife Sunita, their kids Hardik and Vandan, and decamped with gold, silver jewellery and cash from their house. Rajesh was an insurance agent and also a moneylender.
Twenty-eight witnesses were examined during the trial.
