Four govt employees nabbed for taking bribe

Four government employees, including an Office Superintendent of District Industries Centre, were today nabbed by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking bribe in Nellore and Karimnagar districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Office Superintendent B V Subba Rao working at District Industries Centre in Nellore district was caught red-handed by ACB officials while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a complainant for doing an official favour of issuing copy of the auction file required by him, an ACB release said here.

As per the instructions of Office Superintendent, an attender Ratnaiah received the bribe amount in the office room of accused officer which was later recovered from him by the ACB officials.
 

In another case, Burra Srinivas, Assistant Engineer in Northern Power Distribution Corporation Ltd at Husnabad of Karimnagar District and a Junior Line Man (helper) B Sampath were caught red-handed by the ACB officials when they demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 15,000 as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour, the release said.

Both the cases are under investigation.
