Four men, allegedly involved in battering an elderly man to death with baseball bats in outer Delhi's Ranhola last December and on the run since then, have been arrested, the police said today.
The four, identified as Sandeep Sehrawat alias Kotilya, Satish alias Deepak, Sanjeev alias Neeru, all 34, and Sonu alias Chiranji Lal, 22, were nabbed by the Crime Branch of the Delhi police, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Bhisham Singh.
The four were arrested from a DDA Park in Sector-13 of Dwarka following a tarp laid down for them on March 28 on a tip, the DCP said.
Recalling the incident in which an elderly Chandresh Ramwas killed, the police said Sandeep and Satish had been released on bail from Tihar Jail on December 27 in a case of possessing illegal arms.
They were joined by their friends Jaswant alias Pappu, besides Sanjeev and Sonu at their office in Harphool Vihar, Baprola, to celebrate their release. After consuming sufficient alcohol during the celebration, the six began creating ruckus in the locality and misbehaving with local residents, the police said.

The incident triggered a protest by the locals outside the office of the accused with the mob eventually turning violent and setting aflame three cars, a motorcycle and the office of the accused persons.
Following the incident, the police arrested two of the accused, Jaswant alias Pappu and Manjeet Dabas, involved in thrashing the local people, while the other four had fled the scene and continued to be on the run, the police said.
