The incident took place this morning in Chirodi town when the four miscreants, posing themselves as customers, met Manoj Kumar(35), a timber-iron merchant and asked him to sit in their car at gunpoint, SHO, Loni, Brij Mohan Yadav said.
Kumar's domestic help Rahisu Malik tried to stop the car, but the miscreants opened fire at him, injuring him badly and drove towards the upper Ganges canal, he said.
Later, after a search operation was conducted, the accused were arrested along with victim.
The servant has been admitted to a hospital in a serious condition while the further probes are on, he added.
