Four held for running fake job racket

Four persons have been nabbed by a special police team for swindling several lakhs of rupees promising jobs in top multinational companies.

A special team was formed based on a complaint from a woman who had paid Rs 1.50 lakh to the four - two engineers, a proprietor of a consulting firm and her husband - after they promised job for her son in budget air carrier SpiceJet Ltd, a police release said today.

Yuvarani, her husband Ramachandran, Kaniyan and Elumalai who were running a fake consultancy firm here had collected several lakhs of rupees from candidates promising them jobs in companies like automakers Ford, Hyundai Motor, Nissan Motor and tyre manufacturer JK Tyres, the release said.
 

While the four have been remanded to judicial custody, police have warned job applicants not to fall prey to such persons as genuine public and private companies does not offer jobs by collecting money, the release said.
