Four senior IAS officers in West Bengal, including Principal Secretary Home, were today transferred or given additional responsibility.
State Home Secretary Basudeb Banerjee told PTI that A R Bardhan, who was holding the charge of Principal Secretary Home (Personnel) and Administrative Reforms with an additional charge of Tourism, would now take care of Tourism Department only.
Principal Secretary, North Bengal Development, M K Agarwal would now take over as Principal Secretary, Home (Personnel) and Administrative Reforms replacing Bardhan.
With this Jalpaiguri Divisional Commissioner Barun Roy would get the responsibility of Principal Secretary, North Bengal Development, as an additional charge, Banerjee said.
Besides, senior IAS officer Neelam Meena, who has returned to state cadre from her deputation at the Centre, would join as a Secretary in Food and Supply Department, he said.
