At least four persons were injured, two of them seriously in bomb explosions at Rajapur, about 40 km from here, in Odisha's Ganjam district, police said today.

The incident took place last night and the injured were admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.

Inspector-in-charge, Chhatrapur police station Bishnu Prasad Patra said preliminary investigation revealed that the explosion took place when some people were making the crude bombs. Three of the injured persons, have criminal records.

Police, however, ruled out possibility of the bombs being made for use during the panchayat polls.
