Four persons were injured after a fire broke out at a petrol pump in Nizampura area in the city this afternoon, fire brigade officials said.
"Fire broke out at the CNG petrol pump in Nizampura around 3.15 pm, in which four of its employees received injuries," H J Tapariya, chief fire brigade officer of Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) said.
Eight fire tenders were sent to the spot to douse the flames and the blaze was brought under control within half an hour, he added.

"We suspect that leakage of gas could have triggered the fire. Following the mishap, the vehicular traffic was diverted to avoid any untoward incident," Tapariya said.
The injured were admitted in a private hospital for treatment, he said.
