Four involved in thefts, snatching arrested

Four members of different gangs who were allegedly involved in theft of coils from power transformers and snatching incidents in Yamunanagar district have been arrested, the Haryana Police said today.

The police got information that Sushil Kumar of Shampur, Sadhaura and Bahadur of Deha Basti Kansapur in Yamunanagar who allegedly stole coils from the transformers in agriculture fields last evening by disconnecting the electricity wires, were roaming near the Dadupur Nalwi Canal adjacent to district Jail, a police spokesman said here.

Acting on the tip-off , sub inspector Mohan along with the police team rushed to the spot and arrested both the accused.
 

He claimed that during their interrogation, both of them confessed their involvement in incidents of theft.

In another incident, police said it received information about Mohit Bisht of Rajiv Garden Bank Colony, and Mohit Panchal of Lakshmi Nangar, who were allegedly involved in snatching incidents, were roaming near the Jamindara petrol pump.

ASI Dharmpal along with his team raided the spot and arrested both the accused, the spokesman said.

During interrogation, the accused also confessed their involvement in an incident of snatching purse from a woman in Sector-17 at Jagadhari, he said.
