Four persons were killed and 28 others injured when a state transport corporation bus collided with a private one near here today, police said.
The dead included both the drivers.
Police said the mishap occurred when the state transport corporation bus was proceeding from Thanjavur to Velankanni.
The injured have been admitted to the Thanjavur medical college hospital.
