Four persons were killed and nine others injured when an SUV they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree in Chhattisgarh's Kondagaon district today, police said.
The incident took place near Nanjoda village on Jagdalpur-Raipur road under Kondagaon police station limits when the SUV, with 13 people on board, was heading towards Rajim from Bacheli of Dantewada district, to attend a marriage function, Station House Officer M M Minj told PTI.
When it reached near Nanjoda in the wee hours, the driver apparently lost control over the vehicle which crashed into the tree leaving four people dead, the SHO said, adding the injured were rushed to a local hospital.

The deceased are identified as Golu (25), Deepak (26), Naveen (45), and driver Rampal (29).
A case has been registered in this connection, the SHO said.
