The incident occurred last evening when the boat overturned in the river, about 80 kms from Balaghat, police said.
The four killed in the mishap have been identified as Dashoda Ba (30), Chandrakala (25), Priya (7) and Abhay (4), they said, adding four persons were also rescued.
