Four killed in car-autorickshaw collision in Telangana

Four persons, including two women, were today charred to death and six others injured when a car and an autorickshaw collided and caught fire near Ramagundam village in the district, police said.

The incident occurred this evening, around 70 kms from here and due to the impact the vehicles caught fire and four persons including the auto-rickshaw driver were charred to death, Godavarikhani Deputy Superintendent of Police Vishnu Variyer said.

Of the injured, two have been shifted to Karimnagar District head quarters hospital and their condition is stated to be critical, the officer said.

Four others are admitted to Godavarikhani area hospital, Variyer said, adding the identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained.
 

Police said a case has been registered in this regard and investigations are underway.
