Four killed in road accident in Rajasthan's Udaipur

Four people were killed today in Tidi area of the district when a container truck collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.

Drivers and helpers of the two heavy vehicles died on the spot, police said.

Tidi police station SHO, Jitendra Singh Sisodia said the accident took place near Bori ka Kuan on Udaipur-Ahmedabad National Highway when a container coming from Udaipur crossing collided with a trailer.

In the accident, trailer driver Dinesh Kumar Meena (28), helper Raghuveer Singh Rajput (21), container driver Javed (27) and helper Nisar (21) were killed.

Bodies of the deceased were handed over to family members after post mortem and a case under IPC sections 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) and 304 (a) (Causing death by negligence) was registered against the container driver.
