Four killed in separate incidents in Sidhi district

Four persons were killed and as many injured in two separate incidents in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh today, police said.

Two persons, including a minor girl, were killed when lightning struck them when they took shelter under a tree during rain, a police official said.

The deceased are identified as Pradip Patel (32) and Sunita Singh (16). Three others were injured in the incident, according to the official.

In another incident, two persons extracting minerals were killed when a mine caved in at Nadha village, said Majhouli police station in-charge Pavan Singh.

The deceased are identified as Surajbhan Sahu (30) and Surendra Sahu (32). A woman was also injured in the mishap and she is undergoing treatment in the district hospital here, he added.
