Four killed, three injured in road accident

Four persons were killed and three others injured today in a collision between a car and a truck near a bus stand in Aurangabad district of Bihar, a police officer said.

The mishap took place when the car with seven occupants lost control after its driver dozzed off and rammed into a stationary truck on the roadside near Ramabandh bus stand, Town police station in-charge Ravi Prakash said.

While three persons died on the spot, another succumbed to injuries at Anugrah Narayan Memorial Magadh Medical College at Gaya, he said.

While two of the injured were undergoing treatment at the same hospital, another injured person has been referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in the state capital.
 

The victims have been identified as Akhilesh Choubey, Pramod Paswan and J B N Vishwakarma and Santosh Yadav, Prakash said.

The occpants of the car were returning to their native place in Garhwah of Jharkhand after attending a marriage ceremony in a village in Aurangabad district, the police officer said.
