The project at Patiala-Bathinda road will cost Rs 2,007 crore while the Zirakpur-Patiala section involved an estimated cost of Rs 501 crore, a statement said.
The 217.145 km long stretch will have 14 grade separators and flyovers at several places. It will have three ROBs, one at Rajpura bye-pass and two at Sangrur bye-pass, and 11 vehicular under passes and 21 pedestrian under passes.
The road will have a major high-level bridge on Bhakra main line on Patiala bye-pass.
