Four members of the banned outfit, the Peoples Liberation Front of India (PLFI,) were today arrested from Nagda jungle in Khunti district of Jharkhand, police said.
Arms and ammunition were also recovered from their possession, the police sid.
The members belonged to the Tilkeshwar Gope-headed squad of the PLFI, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team headed by Additional Superintendent of Police (Ops) Anurag Raj conducted the raid and arrested Sukhdeo Singh, Chandra Kishore Gope, Akbar Gope and Arjun Ohdar, Superintendent of Police, Ashiwini Kumar Sinha said.
Addressing a press conference here, Sinha said one double barrel gun, one rifle, 16 live cartridges of different bore, two receipt books of the organization, were recovered from them.
Sinha said the ultras tried to escape on seeing the police team but were ultimately caught.
