Four-members of a gang allegedly involved in several incidents of robbery, snatching and auto thefts were arrested in Dwarka, police said Monday.
The accused, Mangal Singh (26), Ram Avtar (23), Rakesh (23) and Rajender (27), are residents of Jhinjhana area of Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh, they said.
The accused mostly targeted morning walkers and women returning home late at night, a senior police officer said.
Police claimed to have solved 12 cases of snatching and vehicle theft so far with the arrest.
The accused were nabbed near a park in Dwarka on Friday and stolen motorcycles were recovered from them, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Bhisham Singh said.
Four country-made pistols and eight live cartridges were seized from them, he said.

During interrogation, it was revealed that Mangal Singh was a wanted criminal and was previously involved in several other cases. He was declared a proclaimed offender in six cases related to robbery and snatching in Karnal and Chennai, he added.
Around four years ago, Singh had formed a gang and started committing burglary, robbery, snatching and auto-theft in remote areas of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, the DCP said.
They would rent a flat in a city, stay for a few days, commit crimes and then flee, he added.
