Four naxal 'supporters' held in Chhattisgarh

Fournaxalsupporterswho were allegedly involved in triggering an IED (improvised explosive device) blast near a Border Security Force camp in March this year were arrestedfrom Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Kanker district, police said today.

The cadres identified as Deva Ram Jade (30), Laxman (30), Chamruram Darro (50) and Ramprasad Hidko (25)were nabbed from forests of Badgaon police station area during a joint search operation by BSF and district forces yesterday, KankerDeputy Superintendent of Police Jayant Vaishnav told PTI.

Security forces had launched the combing exercise from BSF's camp at Mandagaon village located around 300 kms away from the state capital leading to interior forests.
 

Meanwhile, they rounded up four suspects between Mendra and Nadichuwa villages who later admitted of their involvement with the outlawed Naxal movement, the DSP said.

They were allegedly involved in executing a blast near a rivulet close to Mandagaon BSF camp on March 3 this year that injured a jawan, he said adding that their interrogation was on.
