Four Naxal "sympathisers" were today arrested from Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit district of Dantewda for their alleged involvement in torching of vehicles and digging of roads in the region, police said.

The alleged Naxal sympathisers identified as Histaram Bhogami, Budhram Bhogami, Malla Midiyami and Gagru Bhaskar, were arrested from Dantewada police station limits, Superintendent of Police Kamlochan Kashyap told PTI.

They were allegedly involved in damaging and torching of vehicles at an under-construction poultry farm at Murki village under the police station last year, the SP said.

Besides, they were also part of the teams that carried out several Maoist incidents like putting up posters and banners, blocking roads and arranging meetings for Naxals in the area, he said.

Their interrogation may reveal crucial details about other Naxal supporters operating in the region, he added.
