Four Naxals arrested in Chhattisgarh

Three of them were apprehended from a weekly market in Naimed area under Toyanar police station limit after police received a tip-off about their presence there, District Superintendent of Police Prashant Agarwal told PTI.

They were identified as Podiyami Kosa, Kawasi Sukhram and Kudiyami Budhram. These Maoists are wanted in several criminal cases, including murder, attempt to murder and attacks on police teams, registered against them in the district, he said.

The fourth one, Jeve Lacchu, was nabbed from a bus stand in Maddhed area. Lacchu, who carried a cash reward of Rs 5,000 on his head, was facing dacoity and other criminal charges against him, Agarwal added.
