Four new cases of swine flu in Punjab

Four more persons have been found infected with swnie flu virus in Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Patiala districts, taking the total number of affected people in the state to 216.

Till now, total number of deaths due to H1N1 virus has been recorded at 47 in the state.

Today, four persons have been found positive for swine flu. Of these, two were from Patiala while one each from Jalandhar and Ludhiana, according to State Health Department officials.

The four were among the 11 suspected patients, whose samples were tested today.

With this, total number of suspected patients of deadly swine flu in the state rose to 515, they said, adding a total of 47 people have died of the disease in the state.
 

Health department had asked the people to maintain hygiene and cover their face with napkin or handkerchief while sneezing and dispose them in a covered dust bin.
